The Australian: No need to flee Iraq: PM [April 13, 2004]


"AUSTRALIAN civilians working in Iraq had no need to leave the war-torn country despite the recent spate of hostage-taking, the Prime Minister said today."

Surely he can't want to make us safe, and ask aid workers to put themselves in danger. But if he tells them to get out (like every other country is doing) then that would then raise the questions of withdrawing troops. Is he going to pop in for a visit any time soon?

Ridiculous.
